Calling out to all Surreal Artists! (Traditional, Digital Artists and Photomanipulators)
This is a collaboration contest!

After watchin the world climate conference in Copenhagen Bernd thought of doin another Image for the Donnie Award 2010 in a collaboration Style as an surreal statement!

His Idea is to do something similiar as "Der Heuwagen" or "The Hay Wagon" a famous Image from Hieronymus Bosch

And He set up a contest for this! This is his suggestion to collab on!

Medias allowed: Traditional/Digital Drawing, Painting, Photomanipulation. For traditional Artists: If you like you can turn it B/W and print it out in order to draw or paint on it!

Yes! A new year is comming, too much activity in this great community, and now we have more support, our talented and Psychonaut friend Bernd is now runnig with Gromyko and me this club.

We´re proud about this help, you will be sure the club (GROUP soon...!) is going to work hard to promote the members in DA and OUTSIDE DA!!!

Here is litte more about Bernd:

He was born in Wiesbaden and raised up in Koblenz in the Rhineland. First he studied socialwork as a B.A. and then after some years I have a degree as a Master of Arts in Social Administration Services at the University in Bonn.

Since 1999 he works with mentaly disorderd people and now he´s in charge of a service that helps mentaly disordered or handicaped people to live their life as independent as possible in their own homes in the community. So he´s part of a social health care Services that is located directly in the neighborhoods and help people with schizophrenia, manic depression, drug addiction, personality disorders like borderline and so on. The main goal of his work is to make people independent from our help in the long term. That means we help them to get a home or flat, deal with administraional works (how to get social welfare money) find work, get into rehab, see their psychiatric ... and deal with their difficulty through their mental disorder. So in his work hr witnessed a lot of strange and crazy things dealing with those people. But he also fight for them and that mentaly ill people are not discriminated in society and get their rights.

He discovered Art maybe 4 - 5 years ago while experimenting with collages and then took part in some exhibits and contests at moca (museum of computer art in new york). For he this kind of art is in someway the best way to relax and it´s a relief for my pressure from work. But he also try to express inner feelings. He sometimes just listen to music and looking to stockimages ... and then ... BAAANG ... he see and feel something he have to express that lies somewhere deep in hisself that has to come to the surface. Thats why he likes surrealism. It´s allways a journey in to the darkness and quite corners of my brain and soul ... there´s love, fear, perversion ... and it´s gotta be discovered ...

The Mind's Antipodes:
Aldous Huxley introduced the term "antipodes of the mind" in reference to the strange inner world revealed to him under the effects of mescalin, which were at the time largely unknown. Each artist finds their own method of accessing the minds everchanging inner world. This project will combine the efforts of dozens of artists over several years into vast collective inner landscapes of unprecedented detail and imagination.
